Ban Ki-moon attendu au Rwanda

Kigali: Le Secrétaire Général de l'ONU, Ban Ki-moon, est attendu au Rwanda pour une visite de travail qui va le conduire également en RDC.    

Lundi 20 mai 2013, le patron des Nations Unies va inaugurer à Kigali l'Institut Africain de Lutte contre les Violences faites à la Femme et à la Jeune Fille.

Ban Ki-moon sera accompagné du Président de la Banque Mondiale, Jim Yong Kim, et d'une importante délégation de responsables des Nations Unies.

Ban Ki-moon et sa délégation viennent constater les progrès économiques atteints par le Rwanda et appuyer les efforts en cours pour le retour de la paix dans la sous région des Grands Lacs.

L'ONU joue un rôle clef dans l'appui à la mise en œuvre, par ses signataires, de l'Accord-cadre pour la paix, la sécurité et la coopération en RDC et dans la sous région. 

Cet Accord-cadre a été signé le 24 février 2013 dans la capitale éthiopienne par onze Chefs d'Etat africains en présence de Ban Ki-Moon. (Fin)
