« Alors ce que je sais sera une affaire entre la justice et moi. Je suis prêt à lui apporter toutes les preuves dont je dispose. A l'époque, j'étais responsable des renseignements militaires. C'est impossible que je ne sois pas au courant de qui a mené l'attaque et de ce qui s'est passé. »

Jusqu'à sa défection, en 2010, il a été l'un des hommes clés du régime rwandais et en connaît beaucoup de secrets. Aujourd'hui, le général Faustin Kayumba Nyamwasa est réfugié en Afrique du Sud.
Est-il prêt à coopérer avec la justice française qui le poursuit depuis 2006 dans l'enquête sur l'attentat de 1994 contre l'avion du président Habyarimana ?
