7 Rwanda kids come to city for free surgeries

CHANDIGARH: Rotary Club of Chandigarh received seven children from
Rwanda in the city on Sunday for their heart surgeries.
The youngest of then, Evan, is 7 months old. He suffers from Down
syndrome. Rotary Club has been engaged in providing free heart
surgeries to children from various parts of the country as well as
abroad through its partner hospital, under its Rotary Heartline
project, since 1999. Former world president of Rotary International,
Rajendra K Saboo, conceived this project and endeavoured in saving 499
lives of children.
