Rwanda: vers une alliance de l'opposition

L'opposition rwandaise sur la voie d'une alliance. Six partis politiques ont tenu une réunion, le samedi 15 février, à Bruxelles pour annoncer un premier rapprochement et ils ont jusqu'au 1er mars pour officialiser cette alliance. En attendant, ils ont créé un comité élargi pour élaborer une plate-forme commune et un code de conduite.


L'union fait la force selon Faustin Twagiramungu du parti en exil Rwandan Dream Initiative (RDI). Pour le président du RDI, l'opposition doit se fédérer pour faire pression. Objectif : obtenir un dialogue avec Kigali, et préparer le retour des exilés. Mais l'union sacrée des opposants n'est pas faite. Présents à la réunion, le cas des FDLR divise.

Défection ?

Faustin Twagiramungu estime que le groupe armé n'est pas génocidaire. Et que s'il abrite des criminels, ceux-ci devront être jugés. Il n'empêche, le RNC de Kayumba Nyamwasa se déchire sur la question. Selon nos informations, l'un des responsables du parti, Paulin Murayi, aurait même claqué la porte pour créer son propre mouvement. Le porte-parole du RNC ne confirme pas cette défection. Selon lui, le parti est favorable à l'alliance, ajoutant que les FDLR ont le droit de se faire entendre.

L'opposition doit s'unir

Débat aussi au sein des FDU de Victoire Ingabiré. La branche rwandaise approuve le projet d'unité des opposants, mais la cellule européenne n'est pas d'accord. Le vice-président du parti tranche : les FDU ont besoin de gens courageux, qui prennent des risques. Mais pour Boniface Twagirimana, les représentants européens sont déconnectés du terrain. Selon lui, l'opposition doit s'unir, sinon elle disparaîtra.
