Kanyabayonga: plus de 6 000 déplacés sans assistance

La société civile du territoire de Lubero a déploré vendredi 4 juillet
la précarité de la situation humanitaire de nouveaux déplacés dans
plusieurs localités du sud de ce territoire du Nord-Kivu. Selon la
même source, plus de six mille déplacés vivent dans le dénuement total
dans les localités de Mbingi, Alimbongo, Pitakongo, Mbughavinywa,
Kirumba et Luofu.

Ces déplacés sont arrivés dans ces localités pendant la période de
carence alimentaire. Les familles ne parviennent pas à satisfaire
leurs besoins, a indiqué le président de cette structure, Joseph
Malikidogo, lançant un appel à une assistance humanitaire en faveur de
ces déplacés.

Ces derniers avaient quitté leurs contrées, fuyant les combats entre
les Maï-Maï Cheka et Pareco, d'une part, et entre ces miliciens et les
rebelles hutu rwandais des FDLR, d'autre part.
