Economic crisis hits young mothers in Venezuela

 
 

Pregnant woman and young mothers are among those hardest hit by Venezuela's economic crisis which has cut off state funding to the health sector and seen goods such as diapers, formula and medicines disappear from shop shelves.

Isaac Mutisya stands next to a grave, a simple cement slab shaded by a gum tree on the family farm in Kitui, eastern Kenya.

 

"This is where I buried my daughter; the one who always brought happiness and joy to this family," said the soft-spoken high school maths teacher.

 

Risper Mutisya died a year ago almost to the day. She was one of 142 students killed when the Somali militant group al-Shabab stormed Garissa University College in northeastern Kenya on 2 April. The attack and subsequent siege lasted more than 10 hours.

   If Axel Muganwa Rudakubana had been a son of a Hutu, what would have been the news headlines in Kagame's mouthpiece tabloids? Since Axel Rudakubana's parents are Tutsi genocide survivors, and his father, Alphonse Rudakubana, is a nephew of Wellars Gasamagera, the Secretary General of Rwanda's ruling party - RPF, the tragedy that occurred in the UK has not been mentioned by any tabloids or news outlets in Rwanda. However, had Axel Muganwa Rudakubana been a child of a Hutu, or a child of a Tutsi opposition figure, we can all guess the type of headline that would have appeared in the tabloid controlled by Criminal Paul Kagame.
