Le ministre de l'Intérieur va être officiellement nommé par le chef de l'Etat, lundi soir, à l'occasion d'une allocution de quelques minutes pré-enregistrée.
 
Manuel Valls était le favori des sondages. Le ministre de l'Intérieur pouvait aussi compter sur le soutien de membres actuels du gouvernement comme le ministre de la Défense Jean-Yves Le Drian, très proche du chef de l'Etat. Matignon l'a annoncé en fin d'après-midi, confirmant une information exclusive de BFMTV: le chef de l'Etat a choisi Manuel Valls comme Premeir ministre, en remplacement de Jean-Marc Ayrault. Ce dernier aura défendu son poste jsuqu'au dernier moment, sans succès.
Une annonce faite deux heures avant l'allocution de quelques minutes, prévue à 20 heures, de François Hollande qui doit tenter de répondre à la défiance exprimée dans les urnes lors des municipales.
Jean-Marc Ayrault avait fait valoir sa loyauté lors d'un entretien de près de deux heures, lundi matin, au palais de l'Elysée, mais les "failles" déplorées par le chef de l'Etat ont été plus fortes.
Cette décision de François Hollande n'est pas sans conséquence. Selon les informations de BFMTV, l'écologiste Cécile Duflot va quitter le ministère du Logement et ne fera pas partie de la prochaine équipe gouvernementale, comme elle l'avait laissé entendre.
